1) take the gravitas of a novel or autobiography [hopefully a
2) beautiful one] and condense all its emotional content
3) as a one-page, one-reading, one-life poem – one you
4) might read again & again, letting it wash over you
5) like your newest favorite song: till it’s in your
6) thoughts, your habits, and bloodstream. but
7) maybe, because of its brevity, it won’t be a longterm or
8) forever-thing, like a bible. but it’ll watermark your
9) mind for a bit. and just like said watermark, you
10) can see it from just the right angle…
(and so i am a poem, a walking [graffiti] bomb:
(dark calligraphy across ocean-colored swirls,
(glistening with shades of algae and islands
(and sea life. you see me when you go
(for a walk, on that wall you pass by
(when you’re out for another
(happy moment. soon, i’ll be painted
(over or broken down, but till then:
(i hope you’ll remember
(this one-hit song.)
